# 2026-09-01 — Marketplace SOL-first pricing

SONIC Studio Marketplace now uses SOL as the default primary display/payment currency while retaining one authoritative atomic listing price.

* reusable `MarketplacePrice` component with SOL primary and muted USDC reference.
* `MarketplaceListing` and `MarketplaceQuote` durable models.
* tenant-scoped idempotent quote creation.
* authenticated Pyth-backed SOL conversion support.
* 45-second display refresh and fresh server quote before transaction preparation.
* material-price-movement protection before wallet signing.
* SOL, USDC and optional EURC checkout selection with dynamic CTA.
* verified-wallet checkout boundary and explicit transaction intent.
* development Marketplace seed containing USDC-authoritative sample listings.

## Pricing invariant

The database never stores independent SOL and USDC prices for one listing. A listing stores `quoteCurrency`, `amountAtomic`, and `decimals`; display/payment conversions are short-lived quote data.

## Security

Wallet balance size never changes preferred currency automatically. Network fees are separate and estimated only during transaction preparation/signing. Seller payout addresses and token mint addresses remain factual deployment data and are not fabricated by the application.
