# Characters & Voices

Character creation, voice profiles, personalities, memory, knowledge, capabilities, private chat and publish state.

Characters are durable creator-owned entities with appearance, style, voice, personality, knowledge, capabilities, memory and private chat state.

## Creator lifecycle

The latest Character state is saved before a new Character chat opens.

## Voice boundary

Style controls do not imply that a provider-backed voice exists. A usable provider voice requires the configured verification/consent workflow, provider creation and a durable `VoiceProfile` reaching the required ready state.

Voice samples, private memory, provider credentials and recovery/security material are never sent to an LLM unless explicitly required by a scoped operation and allowed by policy.

## Character chat

Character chat may include audio recording, waveform, transcribe, stems, remix, master, upload, links/files/images/video, Character profile and Agent attachment. Attachments and Agent links remain ownership/workspace validated.
