# Connect Phantom

Install Phantom from the official source and connect it safely to SONIC AI Works.

Phantom is a self-custodial wallet available on mobile and as a browser extension. Use only the official Phantom download and help pages.

## Desktop / browser extension

1. Install Phantom from the official Phantom website.
2. Create a wallet or sign in/import using Phantom's own onboarding flow.
3. Unlock Phantom and select the Solana account you want to use.
4. Open SONIC and choose **Connect Wallet**.
5. Select **Phantom**.
6. Phantom opens a connection approval prompt.
7. Confirm the application/domain you intended to connect to, then approve **Connect**.
8. Return to SONIC and verify the displayed public address.

## Mobile

1. Install Phantom from the official app-store link reached through Phantom's website.
2. Open your wallet and complete Phantom's setup.
3. Open the SONIC application flow and select **Connect Wallet → Phantom**.
4. Follow the wallet handoff/deep-link prompt.
5. Approve the connection only after checking the application identity.

## What Phantom shares when connecting

A connection allows the application to know the public wallet address/account you approved. It does not allow automatic asset transfers. Transaction and message-signing requests appear separately and require your approval.

## Security

Never share your recovery phrase, private key, wallet password, or device code. Phantom states that it is self-custodial, so wallet credentials remain under the user's control.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://sonic-ai-works.gitbook.io/sonic-networks-docs/help-center/connect-a-solana-wallet/connect-phantom.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
