# Generation status & callback delays

Provider callbacks can arrive in more than one stage and may be delayed or out of order.

## What the platform should do

* merge partial track information rather than replacing the entire result;
* preserve completed/non-null track fields;
* ignore/reconcile replayed callbacks idempotently;
* finalize credits only from a verified terminal state.

If the client loses connection, recovering the existing operation is safer than deliberately creating a second request.
