# Tokenomics & Deployment Truth

How Whitepaper economic claims defer to canonical Tokenomics and verified Token-2022 deployment state.

The Whitepaper does **not** duplicate the canonical allocation table. Current economic policy is maintained in the Documentation site's **SONIC Tokenomics** section.

## Canonical policy anchors

* initial maximum supply: **18,446,000,000 SONIC**;
* decimals: **9**;
* launch Token-2022 transfer fee: **2% / 200 bps**;
* SONIC transfer-fee policy ceiling: **5% / 500 bps**;
* Token-2022 `maximumFee`: **TBA until deployment**;
* quarterly burn: **2%**, calculation base TBA;
* Streamflow lock designation: **3,000,000,000 SONIC / 16.26%**;
* Creator Rewards: **10% = 1,844,600,000 SONIC**.

The 500 bps ceiling is a SONIC governance/execution policy, not Token-2022 `maximumFee`. Fixed-supply language becomes valid only after intended genesis issuance and verified permanent mint-authority revocation.

Distribution, supply accounting, fees, locks and deployment evidence remain authoritative in the Tokenomics documentation rather than here.
